After many years working in rescue centres, I’ve been privileged to witness the beginnings of countless lifelong bonds between people and their dogs.

I owe so much to my own dogs. And I’ll admit, there are days I take them for granted. But I know that in the years to come, when there’s no more white fur on the sofa or soulful eyes watching me until I tuck them in, what I’ll treasure most are the photographs. The ones that capture exactly who they were, and what they meant to me.

If I can achieve anything through my photography, it’s this: to help others hold on to the memories of those who stay with us for far too few years, but leave the deepest marks on our hearts.
